University Outreach and Public Service is a University central support unit that provides coordination, expertise, and support to the educational outreach and public engagement initiatives of the three campuses and university administration.
Our Mission:
- Extend and support the University of Illinois campuses' continuing education, professional development and service offerings throughout the state and beyond.
- Work with local and regional leaders to match the resources of the University of Illinois to community needs.
- Assist the campuses with promotion, delivery, and student support for both off-campus and online programming.
- Facilitate appropriate partnerships between the University of Illinois and other organizations to increase access and leverage resources.
- Develop and support partnerships between the University of Illinois, our campuses, and Illinois community colleges.
University Outreach & Public Service manages Regional Outreach Centers throughout the state, and also includes University of Illinois Online, Illinois Virtual Campus, Illinois Online Network, Illinois P-20 Collaborative, Illinois Project Lead the Way, and AdvancED Illinois. These units work closely together on key projects and initiatives while also maintaining the excellence of their core missions.
