Who We Are
University Outreach & Public Service has grown and changed to serve the state of Illinois in an ever expanding way. UOPS manages six regional outreach centers, and also includes the affiliated units of the Illinois Virtual Campus, the Illinois Online Network, the Illinois P-16 Education Initiative, the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. These units now work closely together on multiple projects and new initiatives while also maintaining the excellence of their core missions. Illinois Virtual Campus

The IVC provides current and potential college students with easy access to information about online courses and programs from Illinois colleges and universities. IVC also provides support services for online learners.
Illinois Online Network

ION is a partnership between community colleges in Illinois and the University of Illinois. ION provides faculty development related to Internet-based teaching and learning.
Illinois P-16 Education Initiative

The Illinois P-16 Education Initiative is a collaborative effort among Illinois educators to improve teaching, learning and achievement statewide. A web-based professional development portal for teachers and administrators is part of this project.
North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement

NCA-CASI is an accreditation, evaluation and school improvement organization that provides member K-12 schools with a framework for school improvement and accountability.
